Rhys Cassidy
Composer, Sound Designer
What does your project sound like?
Soundscapes carved by ears, forged by hand
-
Writing music that not only compliments the visual, but tells a story in itself. It is my duty as a composer to imagine entire worlds with just a handful of notes, and make it real through melody, harmony and texture.
Slay giants with trombones, fall in love with violins, mourn a mentor with clarinet - what is your world’s melody?
-
From the whirring of spaceship engines, to the roar of demonic monsters - the role of sound design is to immerse the viewer and have them believe that what they are seeing is undoubtedly real through what they hear.
-
An archer’s footsteps on fallen leaves, the tightening of a soldier’s leather belt, the echoes of water dripping in an empty cavern. Foley is so much more than background noise, it is the tiny details that make or break the viewer’s experience.
Professionalism on Every Frequency
Every story has a unique spin, flavor and inspiration, so why should the sound be any different?
Every project is different, which is why collaboration, experimentation and communication are at the forefront of any one of my projects.
