A Bit About Me
Hi there, and thank you for visiting! My name is Rhys and I’m a composer, audio designer and foley artist from Central Scotland. I have over 10 years experience working in music and sound, be that as a gigging performer, stage hand, teacher, composer and producer.
I studied at Edinburgh Napier University and completed my Music degree in 2022, where I specialized in music composition and sound production.
My compositional range includes grandiose orchestral works, minimalist experimental soundscapes, dark electronic synth-wave, and/or a mix of everything in between!
I draw great inspiration from the works of Christopher Larkin, Gareth Coker and Ben Ridge - to name a few.
It is paramount that the soundtrack not only compliments the visuals, but functions to immerse the viewer deep within the created world - it must connect them with characters, convey wordless emotions and ultimately, tell a story!
Ultimately, we are all people, made of the same flesh and bones as the next person, and nothing connects us more than great stories - be it those we tell our friends and family, or those we take to the screen to share with the world. Whether its film, TV, or video games, I’d love to help elevate your project to new heights!
Thank you for stopping by, and I wish you all the best!
