Project: Awakening

In the climax of the story, where the hero meets face to face with the villain, a cruel twist is revealed that contorts perspective, warps judgement and clouds the line between good and evil. The hero must come to terms with their options and perhaps question the sanctity of their oath.

This piece is almost entirely comprised of orchestral instruments, but features support from electronic sounds in the bass and melody lines - they are subtle, but very effective, bringing a modern tinge to the traditional orchestral bite. The full piece comes to a climax that conveys betrayal, enlightenment and even horror, hopefully leaving the audience wide open for that jaw-dropping twist reveal.
